The town, eight minutes away, known as the cleanest in Paraguay. Leather craftsmen, the Franciscan church and the square.

The basilica of the Virgin of Miracles, patron saint of Paraguay. Every 8 December, the great pilgrimage.
Tobatí

Sandstone rock formations and trails among the hills. In town, the work of the potters and woodcarvers.
Areguá
50 min by car
A potters' town on the lake shore, with strawberries in season. Nearby is Cerro Kõi, with its hexagonal sandstone columns.
Piribebuy
35 min by car
In 1869 it was the capital of Paraguay. On 12 August that year it was the scene of one of the battles of the War of the Triple Alliance.
